Piercing the Clouds
Jessica Duchen in conversation with Roxanna Panufnik
One of a series of public events as part of the Templeton Religion Trust-funded ‘Art and the Sacred’ project based at the School of Divinity, University of Edinburgh.
In this talk composer Roxanna Panufnik will discuss the spiritual and religious dimensions of her compositional work with author, and music critic, Jessica Duchen. Central to this discussion is the question of how music – in its creation and in the listening event – can ‘pierce the clouds’ and provide a place of spiritual encounter and discovery.
