The former Archbishop of Canterbury, Rowan Williams, will lecture on ‘Seeing the Light: Epiphany in Visual Art’. The lecture will be introduced by Alison Jack, Principal of New College, and Director of the Scottish Network for Religion and Literature.

Rowan Williams is an outstanding theological writer, scholar and teacher. He has written extensively across a wide range of related fields of professional study – philosophy, theology, spirituality and religious aesthetics, ethical and social topics, and contemporary cultural and interfaith issues. In 1991 he became Bishop of Monmouth, in 1999 the Archbishop of Wales and from 2002–2012, he was the Archbishop of Canterbury. Currently, he is the Master of Magdalene College, University of Cambridge.
